Saint Vincent and the Grenadines - 2017 Premier League


NLA Premier League is the top division of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.The Premier League began in 2009 under the name NLA SVGFF Club Championship.


Teams


Avenues United of Paul’s Avenue in capital Kingstown, are back as the champion team of the Premier Division of the National Club Championships, of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF).

The 2017 title achieved by Avenues, breaks a four-year absence from the top for Avenues, who claimed a hat trick of titles from 2010 to 2012. That period also saw them not losing a single match.

In regaining the title this year, Avenues United were also unbeaten in their eleven matches, winning eight, with three drawn. They finished on 27 points, scoring a whopping 48 goals, and conceding 13.

Dethroned champions- System Three Sports Academy, ended in second place on 22 points, the same as 2013 winners- BESCO Pastures and 2014 champions- Guardian General Hope International.

System Three Sports Academy from their seven wins, one draw and two losses, though had a superior goal difference, that of 23, while BESCO –Pastures had 22 and Hope International 8.
BESCO- Pastures and Hope International had six wins, four draws and one loss.

Three teams- Je Belle, Sion Hill and SV United, all ended on 16 points, but Je Belle‘s five goals difference separated the three, which landed them the fifth place. Sion Hill was sixth and SV United was seventh.
Campdonia Chelsea was eighth, Bequia United ninth and Richland Park Pride and Joy tenth.
The two last place finishers- the 2016 First Division champions- Volcanoes ended eleventh, with Greiggs placing twelfth.

Volcanoes and Greiggs , hence, are demoted to the First Division, with North Leeward Predators and Largo Height taking their places in the next national club championships
