Senegal - 2017/2018 Senegalese Ligue 1



Senegal Premier League is the top division of the Senegal Football Association, it was created in 1966





The 2017-2018 season of Senegalese Ligue 1 is the fifty-fifth (55th) edition of the Senegalese football championship and the tenth (10th) under the name "Ligue 1". The season started on November 25, 2017. 

The two promoted second division teams are AS Dakar Sacré-Coeur and Sonacos, replacing US Gorée and US Ouakam. 

The US Ouakam was suspended for five years from all activities related to football following the events that occurred during the final of the 2017 League Cup. 
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) partly rehabilitated the Senegalese football club Ouakam Sports Union (USO), January 17, 2018, following the incidents that led to the death of eight people, July 15, 2017 in Dakar , in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue. The CAS notably lifted the exclusion of all competitions from the USO for five years, as well as its demotion to a lower division.
