The Oman Professional League (Arabic: دوري المحترفين عمان) (known as the Omantel Professional League for sponsorship reasons), previously known as the Omantel Elite League is the top division of the Oman Football Association, and was officially created in 1976. Currently the most successful team in the league is Dhofar with a total of ten titles to their name.
The 2017–18 Oman Professional League is the 42nd edition of the top football league in Oman.
This season the league has 14 teams.
Restricting the number of foreign players strictly to four per team, including a slot for a player from AFC countries. A team could use four foreign players on the field during each game including at least one player from the AFC country.
