Croatia - 2017/18 Treća HNL

The Croatian Third Football League (Treća hrvatska nogometna liga, or commonly Treća HNL or 3. HNL) is the third tier of the football league system in Croatia. The league was established in 1991 following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation.

The teams are divided into three divisions: West, East and South, competing in a double round-robin format. At the end of each season, the bottom teams are relegated to the regional leagues while the winners of each league are either promoted directly to Druga HNL or enter a two-legged playoff to gain promotion.

Subdivisions are organized geographically and composed of the following Croatian counties:

• Osijek-Baranja County (Osječko-baranjska županija)
• Požega-Slavonia County (Požeško-slavonska županija)
• Vukovar-Syrmia County (Vukovarsko-srijemska županija)
• Bjelovar-Bilogora County (Bjelovarsko-bilogorska županija)
• Koprivnica-Križevci County (Koprivničko-križevačka županija)
• Međimurje County (Međimurska županija)
• Varaždin County (Varaždinska županija)
• Virovitica-Podravina County (Virovitičko-podravska županija)

The 2017–18 Treća HNL season is the 27th since its establishment. The league consists of three regional groups, Istok (East), Jug (South) and Zapad (West).

The third Croatian soccer league-south includes 16 clubs from the 4 southernmost Croatian counties. These are: Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Split-Dalmatia County, Šibenik-Knin County and Zadar County. There are 30 games with two rounds. At the end of each season, the best team will enter the 2nd HNL.

3.HNL West in season 2017/18. is a competition for the third league Croatian soccer clubs. The league consists of 18 teams. It is played with a two-round system, meaning every team with every 2 times. The total number of players is 34. The season started on August 25th] 2017, and the last round is scheduled on May 26, 2018. The first of three teams of this league if they had a license to enter in 2.HNL has direct entry. The last two teams drop in 4. NL - Center Zagreb and 4. NL - NS Rijeka.
