Copa Simon Bolivar is the second tier of the Bolivian Football pyramid. 

The Copa Simón Bolívar Adecuación 2017 was the 29th edition of the Second Division, which takes place between September 2 and December 20, 2017. It is the transition to the calendar year and one of the shortest of all those disputed since its creation. in 1988.

The 20 clubs will represent the nine departmental associations (champion and runner-up) and will be added the two best Interprovincial Champions Clubs

To access the semifinals, the three winners of the series and the best second will qualify and play for the pass to the final.

GROUP A: University of Vinto, Enrique Happ, Municipal Tiquipaya, Ramiro Castillo and Always Ready, Escara and Deportivo Kala de Oruro.

GROUP B: Destroyers, Royal Pari, University of Beni, San Lorenzo and two teams of the Pando Football Association.

GROUP C: Ciclón, Atlético Bermejo, Quebracho and the four classifieds of Potosí and Sucre.

By arrangement of the ANF, the groups with seven participants (A and C) will have the option of qualifying for the second best place in the semifinals. Group B, having six participants, is excluded from this condition.

Bolivia - 2016/17 Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano

The 2016–17 Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano season was the 40th season of Bolivia's top-flight football league, and the last season under the LFPB name. This season comprised three tournaments (Apertura 2016, Apertura 2017 and Clausura 2017) after an agreement was reached between LFPB and ANF (Second Division) to change the calendar to a single calendar year following the reforms implemented for the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana by CONMEBOL ahead of the 2017 season.

The number of teams for 2016–17 remained the same as last season. Ciclón was relegated to the Liga Nacional B (Second Division). They were replaced by the 2015–16 Liga Nacional B champion Guabirá

Since The Strongest and Bolívar ended up tied in points, a playoff was played to decide the champion.

Since Petrolero and Universitario ended the season tied in points, a match on neutral ground was played to determine the team that played the promotion/relegation playoff. The loser qualified for the promotion/relegation playoff.

The relegation playoff was played between:

• Petrolero (2016–17 Primera División aggregate table 12th place)
• Destroyers (2016–17 Liga Nacional B runners-up)

The winner will play in the top flight for the 2018 season, while the loser will play in the 2018 Liga Nacional B.

Bolivia - Liga de Fútbol Profesional 2014/15

Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano (English: Bolivian Professional Football League) is the top-flight professional football (soccer) league in Bolivia. It started in 1977, though football had been played in Bolivia since the early 1900s, specifically in La Paz and Oruro.

An amateur league (which became semi-pro in 1950) started in La Paz in 1914, the LPFA (La Paz Football Association, which is currently called the Asociacion de Futbol de La Paz), the first association of soccer in Bolivia. The LPFA was considered for many years the top soccer tournament in the country.

Founded in 1925, the Federación Boliviana de Fútbol didn't organize a national championship until 1958. These championships included representatives of all regional associations, although the LPFA had also included representatives of Oruro and Cochabamba in its championships. Despite this cup being considered the top Bolivian football championship, the LPFA league was still considered the most competitive one.

The creation of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano ended the distinction. It also resulted in the creation of three separate entities: the FBF's role was restricted to the international representation of Bolivia in the sport, the newly created LPFB became the organizer of the sole 1st Division tournament, and the LPFA, together with the rest of the regional associations, became the organizer of the Second (and lower) division regionalized tournaments.It's the first and currently the only professional sports league in the country.

Since 1975, a total of 10 clubs have been crowned champions of the Bolivian football league system.
For the 2008 season, and for the first time, three tournaments were played instead of the usual two. The Apertura tournament was played from March to July on a Round-Robin system; the Clausura tournament played from August to October where the teams were divided into two series of 6 teams each,  the top two teams of each group advanced to the semifinals and the finals. The newly instated Play-off tournament consisted of home-away matches (and with away goals rule used for the first time).
An average points from the previous two seasons determines relegation, with the last placed team being directly relegated and replaced by the winner of the Liga Nacional B. With the 11th placed team playing a promotion play-off with the runner-up of the Liga Nacional B
