Portugal - 2017/18 Primeira Liga

The 2017–18 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons) is the 84th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. Benfica are the three-time defending champions, having won their fourth consecutive league title in the previous season.

Eighteen teams will compete in the league – the top sixteen teams from the previous season, as well as two teams promoted from the LigaPro.

Portimonense became the first club to be promoted on 23 April 2017 and will play in Primeira Liga for the first time since the 2010–11 season. On 21 May 2017, after a 2–1 win in Azores against Santa Clara, they were crowned champions. The other team promoted were runners-up Desportivo das Aves, following a 2–2 draw against União da Madeira on 30 April 2017. This will mark the return of the Vila das Aves' team to the top flight after a 10-season absence.

The two promoted clubs replaced Nacional and Arouca. Nacional confirmed their relegation on 5 May 2017, 15 years after their promotion, when Moreirense, who were also struggling to escape relegation, beat Braga. On the last matchday, Arouca's 4–2 defeat against Estoril sealed their relegation, four seasons after having been promoted for the first time to Primeira Liga.

Portugal - 2017/18 Ledman LigaPro

The LigaPro  also referred to as Ledman LigaPro for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system, after the Primeira Liga. At the end of each season, the top-finishing teams are promoted to the Primeira Liga, and the lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the third-tier Campeonato de Portugal.

The LigaPro was founded in 1990 as the Segunda Divisão de Honra (Second Division of Honour), superseding the now-folded Segunda Divisão (Second Division) as the second tier of Portuguese football. When the division came under the auspices of the Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional (LPFP) in 1999, it was renamed to Segunda Liga (Second League), a designation that was kept until 2016, with the exception of a period between 2005 and 2012, when it was known as Liga de Honra (League of Honour). The current branding and sponsorship were introduced during the 2015–16 season.

The 2017–18 LigaPro (also known as Ledman LigaPro for sponsorship reasons) will be the 28th season of Portuguese football's second-tier league, and the second season under the current LigaPro title. A total of 20 teams compete in this division, including reserve sides from top-flight Primeira Liga teams. This number will be reduced to 18 teams for the 2018–19 season.

A total of 20 teams contest the league, including 16 sides from the 2016–17 season, two teams relegated from the 2016–17 Primeira Liga and two promoted from the 2016–17 Campeonato de Portugal.

Portugal - 2017/18 Campeonato de Portugal

The Campeonato de Portugal, officially known as Campeonato de Portugal Prio for sponsorship reasons, is the third-level football league in Portugal. It is the only non-professional national league that is organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

The competition was created in 2013 as Campeonato Nacional de Seniores (Seniors National Championship) to replace the Portuguese Second and Third Divisions (third and fourth tiers of the Portuguese football league system, respectively) for the 2013–14 season. On 22 October 2015, the competition was renamed Campeonato de Portugal, its current designation.

The 2017–18 Campeonato de Portugal (also known as Campeonato de Portugal Prio, for sponsorship reasons) will be the fifth season of Portuguese football's renovated third-tier league, since the merging of the Second and Third Divisions in 2013, and the third season under the current Campeonato de Portugal title. A total of 80 teams compete in this division, which will begin on 20 August 2017 and will end on 10 June 2018.

The competition format consists of two stages. In the first stage, the 80 clubs will be divided in five series of 16 teams, according to geographic criteria. In each series, teams play against each other in a home-and-away double round-robin system.

In the second stage, the five best-placed teams from each first-stage series and the best three runners-up will dispute a series of playoff matches to promote to the LigaPro. The two finalists will be promoted directly. The six bottom clubs of each series will be relegated.

The teams that win the series and 3 runners-up are qualified to a play-off phase where the winning teams are promoted to Segunda Liga.

Portugal - 2016/17 Ledman LigaPro

The 2016–17 LigaPro (also known as Ledman LigaPro for sponsorship reasons) is the 27th season of Portuguese football's second-tier league, and the second season under the current LigaPro title. A total of 22 teams compete in this division, including reserve sides from top-flight Primeira Liga teams.

A total of 22 teams contest the league, including 17 sides from the 2015–16 season, two teams relegated from the 2015–16 Primeira Liga (União da Madeira and Académica) and three promoted from the 2015–16 Campeonato de Portugal (Cova da Piedade, Vizela and Fafe).

Other team changes compared to the previous season included the promotion of Chaves and Feirense to the 2016–17 Primeira Liga, and the relegation of Farense, Mafra, Atlético CP, Oriental and Oliveirense to the 2016–17 Campeonato de Portugal.

Portugal - Segunda Liga 2014/15

The Segunda Liga formerly called Segunda Divisão de Honra (Second Division of Honour), now named Liga2 Cabovisão after its main sponsor, Cabovisão, is the Portuguese second level football league. When the LPFP took control of the two nationwide levels in 1999, it was renamed "Segunda Liga", before changing it to Liga de Honra in the 2005–06 season. The name reverted to "Segunda Liga" in the beginning of the 2012–13 season. The current champions are Moreirense.

Going into its 24th edition, the Segunda Liga is contested by 24 clubs, with 17 different clubs having won the title.

From the 2014–15 season on, there are 24 clubs in the Segunda Liga. During the course of a season, each club plays all teams twice — once at their home stadium and once at their opponent's — for a total of 46 games. At the end of each season, the two top teams are promoted to Primeira Liga and the three lowest placed teams are relegated to the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores. There are B teams. These teams can't be promoted to Primeira Liga but can be demoted to the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores if they end the season in one of the relegation positions or if the main team is also relegated to the same league.

Portugal - Campeonato Nacional de Seniores

The Campeonato Nacional de Seniores (Portuguese for Seniors National Championship) is the Portuguese third level football league. It is the only non-professional national league in the country that is organized by the Portuguese Football Federation. The competition was created in 2013 to replace the Portuguese Second and Third Divisions (third and fourth tier of the Portuguese football league systemrespectively) for the 2013–14 season.

The league was divided in eight series of 10 clubs placed geographically, with the exception of teams from Madeira Islands (divided through the first series) and from the Azores Islands (divided through the last series).

After a First Stage in a home-and-away system, the first two best placed teams of each league played in two groups of 8 teams in a Second Stage with each league winner earning a promotion to the Segunda Liga, plus a two-round play-off winner between the two second placed teams. The two group winners then played a Grand Final on neutral ground for the overall Campeonato Nacional title.

The remaining 8 clubs from each league from the First Stage played in 8 different groups with the last two placed teams being relegated to the Districts Championships. The 6th placed teams from those leagues then played a two-round play-off with between themselves to decide the remaining four clubs to be relegated.

None team was relegated form Segunda Liga in this season (due to the Segunda Liga increasing number of teams).

The 2014–15 Campeonato Nacional de Seniores was the 2nd season of the third-tier football league in Portugal. It began on August 24, 2014 and finished on June 14, 2015.

Portugal - Primeira Liga 2014/15

The Primeira Liga, formerly called Primeira Divisão), is the top professional association football division of the Portuguese football league system.

The Primeira Liga is contested by 18 clubs, but only five of them have won the title. Founded in 1934, the league is in its 81st edition (counting four experimental leagues in the 1930s). It has been dominated by the "Big Three": Benfica, Porto, and Sporting. These three clubs have won a total of 78 titles, with Belenenses and Boavista winning the other two.
