Greece - 2017/18 Superleague (Ελληνική Σούπερ Λιγκ)


The Superleague Greece (GreekΕλληνική Σούπερ Λιγκ) or Souroti Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest professional football league in Greece. It was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced Alpha Ethniki at the top of the Greek football league system. The league consists of 16 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 30 games each.


The 2017–18 Superleague Greece, or Souroti Superleague for sponsorship reasons, is the 82nd season of the highest tier in league of Greek football and the 12th under its current name. The season will start on August 2017 and will end in May 2018. The league comprises 16 teams from the 2016–17 season and two promoted from the 2016–17 Football League.

Two teams were relegated from the 2016–17 season. Iraklis and Veria will play in Football League for the 2017–18 season.
