Laos - 2017 Lao League


The Lao Premier League (Laoລາວ ພຣີເມຍລີກ) is a football league representing the sport's highest level in Laos. The league is composed of 8 clubs following a reduction from 14 clubs (in 2016) for the 2017 season.




The 2017 Lao League is the 28th season of the Lao League. The league is composed of clubs starts on 1 April 2017. Lanexang United are the defending champions, having won their first league title in 2016.

A total of 8 teams will participate in the 2017 Lao League season, 1 promoted from the previous season of Lao Division 1 League

Laos - Lao League 2014

The Lao League (Lao: ທິມບານເຕະ) is a football league representing the sport's highest level in Laos.
Over the course of a season, which runs annually from January to July, each team plays twice against the others in the league, once at 'home' and once 'away'. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. The teams are ranked in the league table by points gained, then goal difference, then goals scored and then their head-to-head record for that season.
