Spain - Segunda División 2014/15


The Segunda División of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (LFP), or the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division overall in the Spanish football league system after the Liga BBVA.
The 2014–15 Segunda División season  is the 84th since its establishment. The campaign will begin on 23 August 2014 and the league phase of 42 rounds is scheduled to end on 7 June 2015. The entire season will end on 21 June 2015 with the promotion play-off finals.

Teams 2014/15:



Due to their financial problems, Murcia and Racing de Santander could be relegated to Segunda División B. On 1 August 2014, the LFP published an official statement announcing Murcia is not able to be registered in the league, while Racing has five days to present the additional economic-financial information requested by the association.
On 7 August, the LFP accorded to relegate Murcia to Segunda División B, whereby Mirandés remained in Segunda despite being relegated in the last season.
On 13 August, despite LFP was forced to re-admit Murcia suspending its relegation to Segunda División B, the League announced in a new statement it can not allow Murcia to play in Segunda and subsequently, in the next day, suspended the start of the championship.
Finally, the judge rectified, confirmed the relegation of Murcia and the Segunda started with Mirandés completing the 22 teams.
